| Minutes of Meeting | Minutes - 2nd BOD MEETING – 3rd August 2022 The second meeting of the Board of Directors for the RY 2022-23 was held on Wednesday, 3rd August 2022 at 8:30 p.m. at Rotary Community Center, New Panvel. The meeting was hosted by Rtn. Jitendra Balad & Rtn. Sanjay Jain. Following are the minutes of the meeting: 1. President welcomed all the members present for the meeting. 2. Minutes of the last BOD meeting were read by Secretary Hitesh and approved unanimously by all the members. 3. Projects planned for August 2022 were discussed by the President. 4. Project of Tree Plantation at Shantivan is planned on 23rd August. PP Arvind Sawalekar requested to procure the file of Rotary Forest from PP Harmesh Tanna. 5. President informed that the Vasudev Phadke Hall booking is done for 25th September for Fund Raiser Drama - Saarthi. Various subcommittees were constituted for execution of the fundraiser. President Elect Dr. Jay to form a WhatsApp group to discuss all the nitty gritty regarding the same. 6. President informed that around 280-285 members had registered for the District Fellowship Jalsa. RCPIT being the main host was successful in execution of the event. There was no fund raising from this event. 7. Trust Chairman PP Arvind Sawalekar updated the Board about various activities carried out by the RCPIT Charitable Trust. This includes resuming of residential facility of 7-8 male students in our Rotary Hearing-Impaired School; facilities of bunk beds, lockers, collapsible gate, 16 CCTV cameras and full-time warden. 8. Trust Chairman also invited all the Board & Club members for the flag hoisting to be held on Independence Day. 9. Trust Chairman also informed the Board that Trust Deed is undergoing an amendment. The raw draft was shared with all the Board members and suggestions regarding the same are sought from all the Board members before Wednesday, 10th August. 10. New club member, Dr. Sumukh Naik, was proposed by Rtn. Tushar Tatkari. President to visit Dr. Sumukh Naik to invite him to join the club. 11. Also PP Arvind Sawlekar proposed the name of BG Patil as new membership proposal. Forms to be filled and put for approval in next BOD meeting. 12. PP Arvind Sawalekar suggested to give a letter to DG Anil Parmar regarding removing PP Harmesh Tanna from the newly chartered RC Panvel City. As PP Harmesh was terminated from RCPIT, DG to be requested to disqualify him from joining any Rotary club. Draft of the same to be provided by PP Arvind Sawalekar to President Kalpesh. 13. On the occasion of his 60th birthday, Rtn. Suniel Arora donated $600 to the Rotary Foundation and handed over the cheque to Director Foundation PP Arvind Sawalekar. 14. Vote of thanks was given by PE Dr. Jay Bhandarkar. 15. A resolution of condolence was passed unanimously by all the Board on the sad demise of the charter president of our club, Dr. Purushottam Joglekar. 16.
