| Minutes of Meeting | 1st BOD MEETING – 6th July 2022 The first meeting of Board of Directors for the year 2022-23 was held on Wednesday, 6th July 2022 at 8 p.m. at Rotary Community Center, New Panvel. The meeting was hosted by President Kalpesh Parmar & Secretary Adv. Hitesh Rajput. Following are the minutes of this meeting: 1. President welcomed all the members present for the meeting. 2. Minutes of the last BOD meeting were read by Secretary Hitesh and approved unanimously by all the members. 3. PP Aliasgar Vohra proposed a project named RISE in synergy with Dawoodi Bohra Jamaat Panvel. Sweets and Stationery to be distributed to the students of Bless Foundation Chipale. PP Alibhai also proposed a project by children of Dawoodi Bohra Jamaat on World Parents Day on 24th July. Also proposed an elocution competition on Independence Day on topic “Unsung heroes of Indian independence.” PP Alibhai to finalize this after discussing with PP VC Mhatre. 4. PP Aliasgar Vohra appealed to the Board that no political or religious messages should be shared on any WhatsApp group related to Rotary. 5. It was announced by the President & Secretary that the agenda & final approved Minutes of the meetings shall only be shared via soft copy. 6. There was no amendment made to the Club Constitution. 7. President suggested to increase the club fees by Rs. 1000 to Rs 17,000 and dual membership to be increased to Rs. 8500/-. This was approved by majority in the Joint BOD and approved unanimously in the First BOD meeting. 8. Discussion was held regarding communication with RCPIT Ch. Trust. Past Trust Chair PP Sudhir Kandpile informed the Board that Trust Deed is under the process of amendment. Any clause in the Bylaws regarding the RCPIT Ch. Trust shall be subsequently added after the amendment of the Trust Deed. This was unanimously approved. 9. President Elect Dr. Jay Bhandarkar proposed that there should be a monthly meeting of Trustees with the BOD. The results of same should be conveyed to all the club members in the general body meeting by a representative of the Trust. This was resolved unanimously. 10. President proposed that the Trust Chairman & Secretary should always be included in the Board of Directors of Club by default. This representation of Trust will definitely help in streamlining the relations between the Trust & the Club. This was resolved unanimously. 11. Club budget was presented by President Kalpesh and was approved by the Board with some minor changes. 12. Resolution for signatory change of club’s bank account was proposed by Rtn. Jitendra Balad & seconded by PP Rajendra Thakare. This was resolved unanimously. 13. President Kalpesh proposed formation of working committee for Installation Ceremony & District’s Monsoon Picnic. Board unanimously resolved authorizing President to form such committees. 14. Trust Chairman PP Arvind Sawlekar informed the Board about the CSR funding by Balmer & Laurie. This proposal shall be taken for discussion in the incoming meeting of the CSR committee. 15. President Kalpesh proposed to have a fundraising event in September. A committee shall be formed under the chairmanship of PE Dr. Jay regarding the same. Following will be the members of this Fundraising Committed. PE Dr. Jay suggested a program of patriotic songs to be held in the Rotary Community Center on the eve of Independence Day, i.e. 14th August. 17. Club assets viz. stamps, unused receipt books, etc. to be collected from the outgoing Secretary Vinod Gurme. 18. Vote of thanks was given by PE Dr. Jay Bhandarkar. 19. Meeting adjourned by the President. Total 18 Rotarians were present for the BOD meeting. |
