The 9th regular meeting of the club was a Business meeting and only Rotarians were invited for the same.
The meeting was called to order by President. After National Anthem, President welcomed all the Rotarians present for the meeting.
The communications from District were read out by the President:
A] Gold Rotary Citation Award.
Congratulations were given to IPP Rtn. V.C. Mhatre, Secretary Rtn. Kalpesh Parmar and his team.
B] An appeal was made for Enrolment for District Conference. Members can register through mobile app 3131.
Minutes of Last 2 BOD meetings viz., 4th & 5th BOD, held on 13/9/19 & 4/10/19 respectively were read by the Secretary. The minutes were approved unanimously by the General Body without any discussion.
Information was given by the President about the following activities of Last Week:
A] Felicitation of Padmashri Dr. Milind Kirtane on 28th September at Rotary Community Centre for his commendable work regarding the hearing-impaired children.
B] HPV vaccination 1st round at 2 schools, viz. Balaji School Palaspe & Bohra Jamaat Panvel.
C] Cleanliness Drive on 2nd October 2019 in association with Panvel City Municipal Corporation.
D] Health Talk & Medical Camp for Sr. Citizens at Lifeline Hospital Panvel for the people of HIL Rasayani.
President appealed all the Rotarians to participate in Activities of Coming Week that will be
A] HPV Vaccination 2nd round on 11th October at Rotary HIS and Vadghar ZP School.
B] Donor pass selling of Chogada Night 2019.
C] RYLA at Vispute College.
D] Blood Donation Camp at MSEB (Circle Pen).
President invited PE Rtn. Harmesh Tanna and Rtn. Dhwani Tanna to elaborate about the Chogada Night 2019. They informed about the fees structure, donations, prizes, judges, orchestra etc. They said all the cost has been recovered via the donors/sponsors of the show and whatever donor passes we sell will add to our funds and appealed everyone to buy the donor passes.
Club Trainer PP Rtn. Dr. Janardhan gave information about the ongoing preparation for the Global Grant. He said the ground work is over and the documentation will be done before the November end.
Rtn. Kalpesh gave information about New Member Orientation Seminar to be organized on 9th & 10th November 2019 at Zara Resort Lonavala. He said he was working on finalizing the speakers list.
President once again appealed to all the members to pay the club fees immediately. As this was a business meeting, important decisions were made regarding the defaulting members. It was decided by majority that the members who had already conveyed their unwillingness to continue the membership be deleted from the Rotary site immediately at one instance. A new deadline of 30th November be given to the regular members to submit their annual fees.
PP Rtn. Vinod Bindra appealed to do some innovative projects with the Sr. Citizen club.
Treasurer Rtn. Jitendra again appealed to all the members to pay the fees at the earliest. He made another appeal to pay for the cataract surgery project that we have been doing for so many years. Following Rotarians sponsored the surgeries:

Treasurer Rtn. Jitendra gave a letter in a sealed envelope to the President and requested him to go through the same.
PP Rtn. Dr. Pramod Gandhi gave information about the meeting with the Hon’ble MLA Rtn. Prashant Thakur and PCMC regarding the medical equipments needed at the Sub-District Hospital. He announced that our President has donated a C-arm machine to the hospital with the responsibility of annual maintenance.
PP Rtn. Dr. Pramod Gandhi also appealed that all the Rotarians should pay their fees on time, rather get the cheques at the installation ceremony. He also said that no negative comments should be passed about our club or club member outside the meeting house or at public place and we should maintain the dignity of our club.
IPP Rtn. V.C. Mhatre shared an unpleasant incident that happened during the Membership Seminar at Pune.
Rtn. Vinod Gurme said he does not understand the inflow and outgo of the club’s funds and how it is utilized for the club activities. PP Rtn. Dr. Pramod Gandhi said that he will explain all this to him.
Rtn. Pratap Thakkar said the pre-meeting dinner setup should be given a second thought as the latecomers do not get the dinner.
Rtn. Nilesh Pote suggested to increase the club fees so as to tackle the issue of non-deserving persons being made as Rotarians.
The Secretary Announcement was made. The meeting was adjourned after offering condolences to the departed soul of Ann Aparna Hemant Narvekar. There was no cake cutting.
There were a total of 52 members present.
